Tumbleweed Magazine
Tumbleweed Mag is a biannual DIY-focused motorcycle lifestyle + travel magazine. Published in the fall and spring months, the content focuses on the winter and summer months following the cyclical nature of wrenching season to riding season. It is by and for DIY enthusiasts and lovers of traveling this world via two wheels. Tumbleweed Magazine is a unique motorcycle magazine that covers both maintenance education and culture for those who love to ride.

Motorcycle enthusiasts are passionate about keeping up with maintenance on their bikes so they can enjoy traveling the world in an intimate way. Currently, there are few resources for bikers that cover both the culture they love and useful information on bike maintenance. Tumbleweed Magazine needs to be a source for information and inspiration for riders near and far.

The readers of a DIY-inspired motorcycle maintenance and culture magazine are passionate enthusiasts, both men and women, aged mid-20s to 50s. They value self-sufficiency, hands-on maintenance, and the freedom of motorcycle riding, eager to enhance their mechanical skills and connect with a like-minded community.

I created Tumbleweed Mag with the “Do It Yourself” mentality at the forefront. From feature articles on maintenance to spotlights on makers and riders, Tumbleweed Mag focuses on information that is useful to novices and long-time riders. With an emphasis on image curation, distressed textures, hand-rendered elements, and a color palette that nods to the 70s, Tumbleweed feels as raw and gritty as the content it delivers to its readers
